  22. The VT5xx supports terminal screens of arbitrary height.  It is
  23. independent of the state of the Status Line.  Status Line: None
  24. simply means the space allocated to the status line is empty.  It
  25. does not mean the line can be written to by the host application.

  27. Why is that?  Because the host application can switch the state
  28. of the Status Line at any time by use of a CSI sequence.  Activation
  29. of the status line is a non-destructive operation to the rest of the
  30. display page.

  32. With the VT5xx you also have CSI sequences that allow the screen
  33. height to be resized not only the width as is found on terminals
  34. prior to the VT4xx series.
